About

I am a MITACS Accelerate Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Advanced Separations (LASP) in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. I am currently working in collaboration with Prof. Arvind Rajendran on Design and Development of Structure beds for Carbon Capture and understanding the underlying mass transfer resistances in adsorbents. This project is funded by TotalEnergies and MITACS. I have completed my Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and Masters from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal, respectively. My doctoral thesis was on "Contaminants Removal from Aqueous Solution using Engineered Layered Double Hydroxides" under the supervision of Prof. Sirshendu De. The primary goal of my research work is to integrate the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering for solving problems in applied research domain.

Additionally, being a passionate individual, I am always inspired by creativity and enthusiasm. Challenges in finding a solution to an engineering research problem lies in the combination of thoughts, analysis and prior experience in fundamental knowledge. These characteristic tool set provides an opportunity to generate/implement new methodology for practical problems and facilitate more meaningful research outcomes.
